LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's popular extreme park for bikers and skaters is getting an extreme upgrade.

"We're really excited and honored to be renaming this park for its visionary creator," said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. "We love our former mayor -- the Dave Armstrong."

Armstrong created the park in 2002. Much of it had to close due to the Ohio River Bridges Project.

The city was given $3.5 million to move the park and to redesign it. New features include updated street elements, a new version of the snake run and the bowl and full pipe have been modernized.
