LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police say a 61-year-old man died after his car hit a building Wednesday in east Louisville.

LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley said the man was traveling southbound on North Hurstbourne Parkway at the time of the accident.

The man was turning to enter the parking lot of the Forum when he had a medical emergency, lost control of his Toyota Camry and drove into the building's side, according to Smiley.

The man was taken to Baptist East, where he later died.

Smiley says no one else was hurt, no other vehicles were involved and the driver was the only person inside the Toyota.
