LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man days after they say he snuck up behind a person and shot that individual.

It happened on Saturday, just before 7:30 p.m., outside the J&M Food Mart at the corner of S. 26th Street and W. Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

Police say 23-year-old Lajuan Swain quietly walked up behind the person, pulled out a handgun and fired multiple gunshots, "with the intent to cause the death of the victim."

The victim was shot at least twice, including one shot to the chest, police say.

"The shooting was captured on store video and clearly depicts the subject attempt to kill the victim," an arrest report states.

Police arrested Swain Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with attempted murder.
