LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Two Louisville men are about to begin a cross-country journey.

Josh Kays and Daniel Hatton plan to ride 4,000 miles over the next few months.

They leave Monday morning to drive to Virginia Beach, where they'll begin the journey.

The pair plans on biking 50 miles a day until they get to Astoria, Oregon on the west coast.

Their goal is to inspire others to hop on a bike.

"If me and Josh can make it 4,500 miles or so, a two-mile commute to work is not so bad," Hatton said.

The guys say the trip should take about three-and-a-half months.

They've set up a donation page to raise money for the non-profit "Bicycling for Louisville".
