LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two suspects in an alleged bourbon theft ring pleaded guilty Wednesday.

However, they were lesser charges than they were originally facing.

According to the Franklin County prosecutor's office, Ronnie Hubbard and Shawn Ballard both confessed to criminal conspiracy to receive stolen property.

It's part of a plea deal to testify against other defendants in the theft ring.

Police say they tracked stolen bourbon, including Pappy Van Winkle, to the group.

The seven remaining suspects are set to go before a judge later this month in Franklin Circuit Court.
