LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man who hit a mother with his truck -- and left her there -- pleads guilty.

According to officials in Grayson County, Timothy Tomes will serve three years in prison.

In January, 47-year-old Jackie Hayes was walking along Anneta Road with her 12-year-old daughter when she was hit.

Evidence at the scene led them to Tomes' red dodge pick up truck.

He pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of the accident and tampering with physical evidence.

He will be formally sentenced next month.
