Pedestrian hit and killed in Elizabethtown
Officials say the accident happened Friday around 10 p.m.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - An Elizabethtown man was hit and killed Friday night while attempting to cross a roadway.
Elizabethtown Police spokesperson Virgil Willoughby said 47-year-old Jody Goodman was hit by a 1994 Ford in the intersection of East Dixie Avenue and New Glendale Road around 10 p.m. Friday. Authorities say the vehicle was traveling south along East Dixie Avenue at the time of the accident.
Witnesses told police that Goodman was attempting to cross from the east side of East Dixie Avenue to the west side of the road, when he was struck by the vehicle. Police say witnesses stated the Ford approached the intersection on a green light when the accident occurred.
Police say when officers arrived on the scene, they found responders from the Elizabethtown Fire Department performing CPR on Goodman.
Goodman was pronounced dead at the scene by a Hardin County coroner.
Officials are continuing the investigation.
