LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – As Louisville City FC prepares to host the Wilmington Hammerheads Tuesday night, the team is making some roster additions in the face of continuing injury problems.

Midfielder Guy Abend remains sidelined with a knee injury sustained against Richmond on April 16, while the team has just announced former Tottenham Hotspur player Cameron Lancaster will miss the rest of the season with an injury sustained during training in April.

On Monday, City also announced the addition of Aodhan Quinn, who played alongside Bryan Burke and coach James O'Connor with Orlando City in 2014. The former Akron Zip signed with the USL-Pro division Lions after he was selected in the draft by the Philadelphia Union but wasn't signed.

“We are delighted to have Aodhan on board,” coach James O'Connor said. “He is a very good footballer and is someone I know well from my time in Orlando. He has tremendous talent will be another attacking threat for us in the midfield.”

Louisville has struggled to field a complete roster through the start of the season as players have been in and out of the lineup with injuries.

And while there have been a few mentions of places Louisville City players might be sent, there's been no official word that anybody is headed out of town.

Even with a constantly-changing midfield, the team only suffered their first loss at the Charlotte Independence on Derby Day, moving them to 2-1-3 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Wilmington Hammerheads bring four losses to Louisville Slugger Field Tuesday night after dropping a 1-0 decision to Saint Louis FC Saturday.

Both teams are looking for important early season wins.

"It will be a challenge," O'Connor said. "It will be a big test for us. It's the beginning for a big week for us."

The Hammerheads sit 10th in USL's Eastern Conference with five points, while Louisville City drops a point below rivals Saint Louis FC and sit sixth with nine points.

Wilmington's roster includes former Trinity High School star Sunny Jane, who was coached by Louisville City's Thabane Sutu.
