LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -  Kentucky State Police say a Hodgenville man was killed in a crash that happened in Elizabethtown on Tuesday night.

The man killed in the crash has been identified as 58-year-old Odis Ray Burroughs.

Officials say the crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on Lincoln Parkway.

Investigators say a man was stopped in a tractor that was pulling a flatbed trailer, in the southbound slow lane of Lincoln Parkway. Authorities say the tractor's driver was trying to turn right onto Harvest Drive.

Police say Burroughs was also traveling in his vehicle in the same lane. Authorities say Burroughs did not stop and hit the back of the flatbed trailer.

Burroughs suffered "severe injuries" and he was taken to University Hospital in Louisville, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. The driver of the tractor was not hurt in the collision.

Officials are still investigating the crash.
