LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Soul and R&B legend Aretha Franklin will perform at the Kentucky State Fair on the Freedom Hall Stage on Aug. 30.

The concert begins at 8 p.m.

Known as the Queen of Soul, Franklin has had 20 No. 1 Billboard R&B hits, was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2012 was inducted into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Some of her classic hits include "Respect," "Freeway of Love," and "A Natural Woman."

This will be Franklin's first performance since Louisville in 2005.

“We are excited to welcome Miss Aretha Franklin to this year's Kentucky State Fair,” said Clifford “Rip” Rippetoe, President and CEO of the Kentucky State Fair Board. “She brings great energy and variety to our Major Stage Concert Series.”

Tickets for "An Evening with Aretha Franklin" are $50 and $55 each and include Kentucky State Fair gate admissions. There will also be VIP tables of eight available for $500 per table.

Tickets go on sale Monday, June 1, at 10 a.m.
