LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The wife of the Bullitt County Schools Superintendent has been suspended.

The district says Kellie Davis, a librarian at Bullitt East High School, was suspended for five days without pay on May 7 for not following state regulations for handling funds.

The Board of Education Attorney says Davis' suspension centered around allowing about $500 in cash to accumulate in the library without proper receipts and transfer to the school bookkeeper.

Davis is the wife of Superintendent Keith Davis.

The district says this is her first disciplinary action in her 13 years as librarian.
