Indianapolis, Louisville at bottom of fifty largest U.S. cities ranked by fitness
The rankings, compiled by the American college of Sports Medicine and Anthem Foundation, list Indianapolis as the least fit and Louisville not much better.
Experts who helped compile the rankings say Minneapolis-St. Paul, San Diego and Washington D.C. offer residents the best outdoor exercise options. The also have fairly low rates of obesity, diabetes and smoking.
Memphis and Oklahoma are also near the bottom of the list.
Authors of the report include a panel of 26 health and physical activity experts who looked at census data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
