Elizabethtown 2015 BBQ Blues & Bikes offers music, food and family fun
The activities planned for May 22 and 23rd from bands to barbecue, bounce houses and even the Nutty Scientists.
Elizabethtown, Ky. (WDRB) -- Downtown Elizabethtown welcomes its annual BBQ, Blues & Bikes on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
The event is free to the public and will feature eight blues acts, a motorcycle ride to benefit wounded warriors, a burn out contest, kids zone, motorcycle vendor area, and a large selection of barbeque vendors.
This year the BBQ, Blues, and Bikes festival will feature a sold out Friday night event to kick off the festival. The Rad Trads, currently one of New York City's most entertaining live acts, will perform at Wild Earth Gallery and Pub. Louisville performers, D-Man & the Alley Hounds will open the show at 7pm.
On Saturday, the festival will begin with the "Thunder Into E'town" motorcycle ride benefiting the Fort Knox Warrior in Transition Association. At 12:00 pm the motorcycle ride will thunder into downtown. The first of eight blues acts will begin ten hours of continuous music that will alternate between two stage locations in the State Theater parking lot and the city's municipal lot next to the Brown Pusey House. Additional motorcycle and kids events will also be held throughout the day.

Only 45 tickets will be sold for this event. The event will be catered BBQ with a cash bar.

Heaven Hill Brands Garden:
New to the festival this year is the Heaven Hill Brands Garden. Located in the garden at the Brown Pusey House, Heaven Hill will offer festival attendees over the age of 21 the opportunity to purchase cocktails featuring Burnett's Vodka or Admiral Nelson Spiced Rum. For bourbon lovers the garden will also be serving Evan Williams Black, and Larceny.
Thunder into E-town Motorcycle Ride
Location: American Legion Post 113 1251 Ring Rd. Elizabethtown Kentucky
Registration 7:00 am to 10:00 am, $20.00 per person.
American Legion Post 113 will be serving breakfast from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. The cost is $7.00 per person.

Motorcycle Ride Charity information- Recipient: Fort Knox Warrior Transition Association- The association has been set up to fund wounded warrior programs and services for soldiers and their families at Fort Knox (association that support the Fort Knox Warrior Transition Barracks). Awards for Largest Registered Group, Farthest Male & Female Rider, Oldest Bike and Hairiest Biker (be sure to nominate your hairy friends).
There will be three Grand Prize Drawings. We will draw for a BBQ, a Blues, and a Bikes Grand Prize package. Winner need not be present to win.
Kids Zone: 11:00 am to 6:30 pm

Judged multi-class bike show staffed and judged by KMA/KB-A. Entry fee $25.00. 1st/2nd place winners will be awarded in each class and Best of Show.
Open Road Burnout Contest:
Located: South Mulberry between 31W and Helm Street. There will be three rounds, held throughout the day at 1:00, 3:00, & 5:00 pm.
