LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified the bodies of a mother and daughter who were found dead in a Clarksville apartment Wednesday morning.

The bodies of Annette Morrison, age 67, and her daughter, 47-year-old Sheilon Morrison, were found in an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Byron Drive, a little after 10 a.m. during a welfare check.

"There was a home healthcare provider who comes, and they were last seen or heard from on Monday," Clark County deputy coroner Jeff Dickson said. "The home healthcare provider arrived this morning, knocked at the door and didn't get an answer, they called 911 for a welfare check."

When officers entered the apartment they found the bodies of the two women. Police say one of the women "showed signs of medical problems" that may have contributed to her death, and the second woman "showed initial signs of overdose."

"That's a possibility, we're not ruling anything out at this time. It's still an active investigation. We're not gonna release any more information until the autopsy is completed," Dickson said.

Police say both victims will be examined at the Medical Examiner's office for possible foul play. Based on the Medical Examiners findings, a final report will be added with the examiner's results.
