LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they arrested a homeless man after he was spotted lurking shirtless outside at least two schools.

According to the arrest report, it happened Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. That's when officers received a report of a suspicious man "in pajama pants and no shirt walking in the playground area and tree line of St. Martha Catholic School" and then in the Myers Middle School area "with his hands in the front of his pants."

Witnesses told police they saw the man "hiding in the trees watching the kids at school before walking off."

Officers caught up with 23-year-old Austin M. Stevens in the 2800 block of Klondike Lane as he was walking into the backyard of a residence. Police say he was trying open the rear door of a house when he was caught.

Police say Stevens "appeared to be on unknown intoxicant and stated he was homeless."

Stevens was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing.
