As conditions improved Friday afternoon at the Pete Dye Golf Course, so did the scores.
Three-time Champions Tour major winner Tom Lehman went five under in round two of the Senior PGA Championship to go to minus four for the tournament. He holds a one shot lead going into Saturday.
“I hit the ball very well,” said Lehman, who also won the Senior PGA Championship in 2010. “ I was looking at the stats, I hit 16 greens today as opposed to yesterday where I think I hit one green in the first 11 holes.”
Brian Henninger and Colin Montgomerie are each three under, tied for second place.
“We got fortunate with the weather this afternoon,” said Montgomerie, the defending champion. “The wind, as we said, has slightly died from this morning, which has helped us. All in all, so far, so far, so good.”
Esteban Toledo is in fourth at two under.
