Fire breaks out at Jeffersontown storage facility

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Firefighters responded to a fire that happened Saturday morning at a storage facility in Jeffersontown.

The fire happened at You-Stor-It, located in the 10000 block of Bluegrass Parkway, near Production Drive. 

Jeffersontown Fire Chief Sean Dreisbach said authorities received a call about the fire around 5:15 a.m.

Officials say heavy smoke was found inside the facility. The fire affected three storage units on the second floor of one of the buildings. 

About 30 firefighters responded to the scene. The fire was contained in about 45 minutes.

No injuries were reported. Officials say they believe personal belongings were inside the storage units.

Investigators with Metro Arson are investigating the fire, which is standard protocol.
