LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The ESPN cameras were rolling, the NCAA baseball selection show began, and the University of Louisville didn't have to wait long to learn its NCAA Tournament seed.

The Cardinals were named the No. 3 overall seed in the tournament, cheering on cue when ESPNU cut away to the reaction shot. The seed means U of L (43-16) will have a chance to reach a third straight College World Series without ever leaving home. They would have to wait a little while to learn the rest of their bracket.

U of L will face No 4. regional seed Morehead State (38-20) and its nation's-best .335 batting average. That game will be Friday at 6 p.m., with teh winner to face the winner of Friday's 2 p.m. game between Michigan (37-23) and Bradley (35-19).

The regional is paired with the Cal State Fullerton regional. If both top seeds advance, U of L will host the Super Regional. CSU-Fullerton will face Pepperdine Friday night, with the winner getting the winner of Clemson and Arizona State.

The Cardinals were one of two Atlantic Coast Conference teams to be named a top-eight seed. Miami was the No. 5 overall seed. The tournament's top overall seed was UCLA, followed by No. 2 LSU, No. 4 Florida, No. 6 Illinois, No. 7 TCU and No. 8 Missouri State.

Indiana made the tournament field and will face Radford, with the winner to the winner of Lipscomb and regional host Vanderbilt.
