LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Major Morris Beck, Seaman Apprentice Michael Jaggers, Captain William Davis and Airman Brent McCreight are now part of the Patriots Peace Memorial.

The names of the four fallen veterans were added to the unique memorial in Louisville during a ceremony Monday.

It's to honor members of our armed forces who died in the line of duty under conditions other than hostile action, like an accident or crash.

"They are the heroes, they just didn't die in war action or military action and it's the families that I consider what we gave up for america," Diana Crawford said. Her father was added to the memorial during the ceremony.

A concrete brick is removed and replaced with a glass plate with the name on it.

The Patriots Peace Memorial represents the service of 448 veterans from our region.
