LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say Anthony Barbour has been charged with kidnapping, burglary and resisting arrest in connection to his apprehension and the disappearance of 2-year-old Laynee Wallace.

Wallace's body was found late Monday after Barbour was apprehended during a traffic stop that afternoon. Barbour is being held in the Barren County Detention Center.

Barbour was initially sought for custodial interference early in the investigation, but he has now been charged with kidnapping-adult, first degree burglary and resisting arrest.

Barbour also had two outstanding warrants in Barren County for theft by deception.

Authorities found the child's body inside a well on property owned by Barbour. According to state police, Barbour lived with the child's mother and her daughter in his home near the Barren County and Monroe County line.

An autopsy was performed on Laynee Wallace Tuesday, but information on the results is still pending.
