LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is accused of trying to steal merchandise from Walmart.

According to the arrest report, it happened May 20 at the Walmart located at 7101 Cedar Springs Blvd. near Bardstown Road and the Gene Snyder Freeway. That's where police say Curtis Sondergerld concealed hair extensions valued at $119.64 in his pants and tried to leave the store without paying.

Police say store security stopped Sondergerld, but had to let him go before police arrived. Store employees did get Sondergerld's personal information and provided it to police.

A warrant was issued for Sondergerld's arrest but he was already in jail on other charges, including burglary. Three counts of theft by unlawful taking were added to his charges, and bond was set at $75,000 cash.
