LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police say he was involved in a shootout that left another man injured Monday afternoon.

According to LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, two men got into an argument on W. Muhammad Ali Boulevard, near S. 38th Street. Mitchell said the men exchanged gunfire and one of them was shot multiple times by the other.

Police were called after someone reported seeing the wounded man near the corner of Vermont Avenue and S. 38th Street. The wounded man was taken to Norton Hospital and his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening, according to police.

Police say the other man ran away.

A couple of hours later, police arrested 18-year-old Rondarius Blue-Johnson. Police say a witness identified Blue-Johnson as the man who shot the victim between five and seven times.

A nearby home occupied by a child was hit with at least one round, police say.

Blue-Johnson changed his clothes in an attempt to evade detection, according to an arrest report.

Louisville Metro Police arrested him and charged him with first degree assault, tampering with physical evidence and wanton endangerment.
