Police say Louisville woman was driving moped while drunk with passenger carrying 2-year-old

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville woman was impaired by alcohol while driving a moped with a passenger holding a toddler Wednesday afternoon.

According to the the arrest report, officers noticed 33-year-old Ericka Suber driving a moped with a female passenger holding a 2-year-old girl on her lap. As Suber turned from S. 15th Street onto W. Hill Street, police say she nearly hit a curb, and that the "child appeared to slip, nearly falling from the moped" as Suber made the turn.

Officers stopped Suber and found an open container of alcohol in the front pocket of the moped. Police say she was extremely belligerent, "had red, glassy eyes and the odor of alcohol emitting from her breath."

According to police, Suber failed field sobriety tests.

She was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

Suber is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $1,000 cash bond.
