Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You'll soon be able to check out the progress on the life-size Noah's Ark under construction in northern Kentucky.

The 510-foot long Ark is being built at the Ark Encounter theme park.

Park officials say guests will be able to watch the crews assemble support towers for the massive Ark from an observation area this summer. And during the next few months, crews will be building the Ark's foundation. Visitors will be able to see the Ark built from the center out toward both ends.

Tickets are required to see the construction. The cost is $20 per vehicle. If you're a Creation Museum member, the cost is $10.
Tickets can be reserved in advance online, or a limited number will be available on site each day. Click here for ticket information.

The Ark Encounter theme park is located on I-75 in Williamstown, Ky. It's set to open in 2016.

Once completed, the Ark will be the largest timber-framed structure in the world.
