LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A police sergeant in Denver is forced to crawl out of a sinkhole after it swallowed his SUV.

Authorities say the officer was driving through an intersection when the road collapsed. 

The sinkhole was at least 10 feet deep. 

The sergeant had to crawl onto the roof of his police cruiser and out of the sinkhole. 

He was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. 

The SUV is a total loss.
