LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Combining sports, media and broadcasting, Indiana University says a $5 million gift will allow them to build a new kind of technology center for students.

IU Athletics says it received the money from alumnus and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

The school says the Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media and Technology will allow students of all disciplines to create high-quality video content.

Students will also be able to produce media content for IU Athletics.

The new center is expected to be finished in the spring of 2017, along with the renovations at Assembly Hall.
