LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officials have identified a 17-year-old male who was found Saturday morning in Patoka Lake in Orange County, Indiana.

Indiana Conservation Officers have identified the teen as Kevin Phillips, of Shoals, Indiana.

Deputy Richard Drake, of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, said Phillips' body was found by Indiana Conservation divers around 12:40 a.m. Saturday.

An autopsy conducted Saturday morning determined the official cause of death as drowning.

Authorities say he was found near the Jackson Boat Ramp. Officials say Phillips went missing after he dove into the water from a floating dock while swimming with friends.

An Orange County dispatcher said Phillips was reported missing Friday night around 11:15 p.m. Investigators say he was not wearing a life jacket at the time.

An investigation is being conducted by Indiana Conservation officials.
