LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jury selection was just completed and opening statements are expected to begin soon in the trial of an Indianapolis man accused in a deadly house explosion.

Mark Leonard's trial is taking place in South Bend because of extensive publicity in Indianapolis.

The 2012 blast ravaged a neighborhood. Two people were killed and the blast damaged or destroyed about 80 homes.

Leonard is one of five people charged in the case, but prosecutors say he was the mastermind of a scheme to blow up his then-girlfriend's home to collect insurance money.

Leonard is charged with several counts, including arson and murder.
