LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Irvington, Kentucky man has been arrested after authorities say he killed a cat, according to an arrest warrant.

The alleged incident took place on May 30 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky.

According to the arrest warrant, 22-year-old Eric Justice threw the cat into the middle of a pond, "because he hated the cat and wanted it dead."

Authorities say the cat died because of his actions.

A warrant was issued for Justice's arrest on Thursday, June 4, and he was arrested Tuesday by the Breckinridge County Sheriff's Office. He is charged with second degree cruelty to animals.
