FLOYD COUNTY, Ind. (WDRB) -- The Floyd County Sheriff, Prosecutor and Judges all refused to make budget cuts during a presentation to council members Tuesday night.

That's according to County Council President Matt Oakley.

He says the county is trying to cut $1.2 million from its general fund, and more than $100,000 would come from the prosecutor's office, sheriff's office and judges.

But Tuesday night, Oakley said they told council members they're not doing it.

However, he says Sheriff Frank Loop did save $20,000 through a new meal vendor and will not have to find the cuts as previously planned.

Oakley adds that council members will look for more cuts on their own or order them anyway.
