LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is facing a felony charge after the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General says he used technology to try to set up a sexual meeting with someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

According to an arrest citation, it happened on May 15. Authorities say 58-year-old Gregory Keith Brown, "sent several text messages and e-mails" to an undercover officer, believing that officer to be a 15-year-old female. In those messages, Brown allegedly asked the undercover officer to perform sexual favors on him -- again, with the belief that he was corresponding with a 15-year-old.

Brown was arrested on E. Indian Trail, near Jennings Lane, on Wednesday afternoon.

"Mr. Brown stated he had communicated with the undercover officer, but denied any sexual advances," the arrest citation states. "Subscriber records confirm the phone in Mr. Brown's possession sent the text messages in question."

Brown is charged with engaging in the prohibited use of an electronic communications system to procure a minor / peace officer for a sex offense.
