LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An autopsy could not determine what caused the death a toddler found unresponsive yesterday in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

The coroner did say there were no obvious signs of trauma on the boy's body.

LMPD homicide detectives are in the early stages of a death investigation.

We're told the child's parents called 911 Thursday morning after the mother woke up and found 3-year-old Alexander Michael Singleton unresponsive on the couch.

He was rushed to Kosair Children's Hospital by police escort where he was pronounced dead.

A toxicology report could give more insight into the boy's death.
