LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – A five run second inning propelled the Louisville Bats to an 8-6 win over the Durham Bulls Saturday evening at Slugger Field.

The victory snapped a three game losing streak for Louisville.

The Bats headed into the 2nd already down 3-0 when the offense kicked into high gear. The Bats scored their first run off an RBI single from catcher Ramon Cabrera. They then got two more runs off a triple from left fielder Jose Constanza. After another run scored, second baseman Irving Falu capped the five-run inning with a solo homer

Right-handed pitcher Keyvius Sampson(1-0) overcame a shaky start to pick up the win in his Bats debut. Sampson allowed three earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

The two teams will play the fourth and final game of their series Sunday at Slugger Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05.
