Honda says more than one million cars, already recalled, face second safety issue

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Already under a recall, Honda says there is a second safety issue with more than one million cars.

The models targeted include the 2001-2005 Civics, and the 2003-2007 Accords.

The automaker says the cars, already recalled to fix driver airbags, also need side airbags replaced as well.

They're part of the Takata airbag maker recall that's affecting about 34 million cars. It's the largest recall in history.

The airbags can explode, sending shrapnel through a vehicle.
