LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man wanted for trying to kill a person in Arkansas was arrested on I-65 in Hardin County after a 20-mile chase.

Kentucky State Police, along with Munfordville Police, arrested Trent Smith yesterday. The 41-year-old is from Arkansas.

Police say he wouldn't stop and nearly hit two troopers when he tried to avoid tire deflation devices.

He lost control of his car, hit a concrete barrier and was arrested.

He faces new charges of attempted murder of a police officer, fleeing from police and DUI among several other charges.
