LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police arrested a Booneville, Ky. man last week after he allegedly shared images of young children engaged in sexual acts.

According to a news release from state police, 21-year-old Matthew R. Hollan was arrested on June 18 by detectives and state troopers on charges related to distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering Hollan was allegedly sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images included prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.
