LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville man is facing several serious charges after he allegedly fired a gun inside a home with seven children inside.

According to the arrest report, the incident happened June 20 at a home in the 2500 block of Garland Avenue. That's where police say 33-year-old Willie Whaley fired one shot in a bedroom while a woman and her 5-month-old child were in the room.

Police say the six other children were in the living room just on the other side of the bedroom door when the shot was fired.

Whaley was arrested and is now charged with eight felony counts of wanton endangerment. He remains jailed at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $20,000 full cash bond.
