Madison Regatta to sell riverside camping spots for first time in a decade
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- For the first time in a decade, Madison Regatta fans can camp along the Ohio River for the hydroplane races.
Regatta organizers say campsites will be available on both sides of the Madison-Milton Bridge.
Organizers expect the 60 riverside spots --- which cost $100 each -- to go quickly.
This season's race course has been extended to two and a half miles and will run beneath the bridge.
From the camping area, fans will see the boats begin their run down the front stretch.
The Madison Regatta runs from July 3-5.
