POLICE: Man stole more than $2,000 in valuables from Louisville daycare center

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man officials say broke into a daycare center and stole electronic equipment.

Kelvin Heard, 51, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, according to the official police report. Authorities say Heard broke into the Arms of Love Childcare center, located at 1718 West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, near South 17th Street, early Friday morning.

Police say Heard stole more than $2,700 worth of electronic equipment and other items from the center.

According to investigators, the incident was captured on surveillance video.

Heard is charged with burglary.
