LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kids are coming out of the woodwork to check out the Kentucky Science Center’s latest exhibit.
The new “Science in Play” is an entire floor dedicated to early childhood education.
The goal is to stimulate the minds of children and bring families together.
"I went to KidZone when I was a child. My mother was always open to keeping us interested in science. She brought us here during the summer so it was very important that my daughter do the same,” said Meika Finger-Gray.
Funded by PNC, the Metro Louisville government and other organizations, the $3 million project is supported by many.
With possibly the youngest board in the state of Kentucky, the center hopes to inspire young minds and create leaders of tomorrow.
"I want to have myself an underground lab under my house where I make super powers by using the different DNAs, and them I'm going to sell them at the top part of my house," said 8-year-old Flynn Harris.
The exhibit opens to the public at 9:30am on the July 4.
