LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have released images of a white Chevy -- believed to be an Impala -- that was involved in a hit-and-run incident that killed a woman last Saturday night.

It happened just after 10 p.m. on Broadway, near 26th Street.

According to witnesses, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Broadway when it hit 19-year-old Deniesha Pugh, between 26th Street and 24th Street, while she was crossing the road. The vehicle did not stop.

Pugh was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:33 p.m. Saturday. According to Deputy Coroner Dave Wood, the cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma.

"She was a beautiful person," Pat Pugh said about her daughter. "She had a whole life ahead of her."

On Friday morning, police released images of the vehicle involved in the incident. The images are shown at right. Anyone with any information on the vehicle involved is asked to call 574-LMPD.
