LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two dogs are rescued by the Arrow Fund after being found severely abused and neglected.

A small male terrier mix was found in a grassy area in the Louisville Metro region. The dog has now been named Waldo.

After shaving 2.5 pounds of matted fur off the dog, veterinarians found a maggot infestation in some of his wounds. X-rays also found small metal or gravel pieces in the dog's stomach.

An English Bulldog, now named Tonka, from Jessamine County is also being treated.

He was tossed from a car and found on the side of the road. Tonka is suffering from starvation, pneumonia, chronic vomiting and skin conditions.

The dogs are being treated at Blue Pearl Veterinary Hospital.
