LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a woman authorities say assaulted multiple people.

Diana Bryant, 53, was arrested Saturday evening at her home in the 2500 block of Pennacook Road, near St. Andrews Church Road.

A victim and witnesses told police that Bryant threw a firecracker that landed near a small child and the child's mother, according to official police records.

Authorities say the firecracker went off and the child received a small mark on his leg as a result.

Police say Bryant then engaged in a verbal altercation with a female over the incident.

Officials say a witness stated Bryant then hit the female in the head with a beer bottle two times. The official report says the victim's husband then came over in an effort to break up the fight.

Bryant allegedly then threw the bottle at the husband and he was struck in the leg and suffered a "severe laceration," according to police.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Bryant is charged with assault and wanton endangerment.
