LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Fire and smoke shrouded downtown Louisville in a haze Monday evening that worried city officials, developers and bystanders. When the safety of citizens was ensured, attention turned to the historic Whiskey Row facades that have long been the subject of debate and, more recently, renovations.

Images poured in form all over, showing an apparently chaotic situation as businesses evacuated and fire crews scrambled to control a blaze burning in the bowels of the historic properties located from 111-119 West Main Street.
