LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dozens of tips, but still no arrest in a fatal hit-and-run 10 days later.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is working the case and has received lots of leads; they're asking the public to keep the tips coming and the victim's family members are asking the same.

"Yeah, definitely, we definitely want the same," said Demetria Pugh, Doniesha Pugh's sister.

It is very clear that Demetria Pugh is still struggling to deal with the shocking loss of her younger sister.

"I haven't been eating, I haven't been sleeping," she said.

But these days the death is just part of her pain.

"I was hoping it would happen that night or the next day," she explained.

On June 27, Doniesha Pugh was hit and killed by a car on West Broadway; the driver never stopped and is still on the run.

"I pray every day and every night that they find 'em," said Pugh.

Since then, the family has made an emotional public appeal, community leaders have gone door to door and police have released images of the suspect's car -- a white Chevy impala.

"I've heard so many stories," said Pugh.

Now, family members are starting to hear rumors.

"Like, it has been a rumor that whoever it was -- he was in a shootout, like you know, prior to that happening and I guess he was trying to get away, I don't know if he was the shooter," Pugh said.

Meanwhile, a makeshift memorial at the scene of the crime continues to grow.

"I ride by there everyday, every single day. I kind of look at it like she just lives around the corner now, you know what I'm saying," said Pugh. "I don't feel like it'll give us complete closure, but it'll be like a big start."

It is a start that Demetria Pugh says her family desperately needs. That is why she's making another appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

"Whoever it is, if it is your family member, your son, your brother, your cousin, your nephew, daughter, like, whoever it is, just come forward," she said.

Anyone with information about the case can call LMPD's anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD.

Doniesha Pugh's visitation and funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church in West Louisville.
