LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Forget grabbing a tiger by the tail -- how about trying to grab one by the tooth!

Leela, an 11-year-old Sumatran tiger, was sedated as a veterinarian checked her from head to tail. Assistants checked her paws, took blood, and even pried open its mouth to look at those massive teeth.

Leela's paw print was taken during the health exam. The print will be given to zoo friends and donors.

She was put under for the surgery to keep everyone safe.
