LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – On Saturday, Kyle Busch partied like it was 2011.
The driver of the M and M’s #18 pulled in front of Joey Logano with 20 laps left, then held strong the rest of the way for his second Quaker State 400 victory.
Busch, who led 163 laps Saturday, won the first Sprint Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway four years ago.
“We’re doing a fantastic job, this whole team,” said Busch Saturday night.
He's right. Since returning from an injury suffered at Daytona last February, Busch has done a solid job gaining ground in the Sprint Cup standings. Saturday's Quaker State 400 was his second victory in a month, after missing the first 11 races with foot and leg injuries.
Jeff Gordon ran seventh in his fifth and final race at Kentucky Speedway.
