JCPS mobile application bus starts making rounds

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Parents can register their kids for JCPS pre-K and Kindergarten on a bus starting today.

JCPS will start making the rounds with its Mobile Application bus to help parents register their children. The bus makes it more convenient for families who may not be able to easily find transportation to the application center to register.

The Mobile Application bus will be at Byck Elementary on Cedar Street this afternoon (Monday, July 13, 2015) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It's scheduled to make 19 stops through August 10th.

This year, the schedule will repeat locations and days of the week to better help families plan and prepare for a visit. During typical weekday business hours, families may visit the JCPS Application Center at the Lam Building, 4309 Bishop Lane. But the JCPS Mobile App Bus will expand access by offering later evening hours and offering more convenient locations in the South End (Mill Creek Elementary), the West End (Foster Traditional Academy and Byck Elementary), and downtown Louisville (Hotel Louisville).

Parents who visit the bus will receive assistance with submitting their online applications.
