INDIANAPOLIS, In. (WDRB) -- A jury has convicted an Indianapolis man of murder, arson and insurance fraud for his role in a house explosion.

Prosecutors say 46-year-old Mark Leonard was the mastermind behind the explosion, which took place three years ago.

Leonard was convicted of plotting with his then-live-in girlfriend Monserrate Shirley to blow up the home for the insurance money.

A couple living in the neighborhood was killed.

On Wednesday, a judge will consider whether to sentence Leonard to life in prison without parole.
