Not guilty plea entered for founder of Why Louisville, Lebowski Fest after marijuana arrest

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The attorney for the man accused of smoking marijuana during Louisville's Lebowski Fest over the weekend entered a not guilty plea on his behalf Wednesday.

Will Russell, 39, was not in court this morning, so his attorney entered the plea for him.

On July 11, Russell was arrested in the parking lot of Executive Strike and Spare Family Fun Center on Phillips Lane, which is where this year's Lebowski Fest was taking place.

Officers say they found Russell smoking marijuana and acting strangely. They say he resisted arrest and used threatening behavior.

Russell is charged with possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and menacing.

Russell is the founder of the Louisville Lebowski Fest. He also owns Why Louisville and Funtown Mountain.
